AGRONOMIC CONSULTING
The wines are designed in the vineyard, according to the oenological objective to be achieved.
I personally carry out my consultations by monitoring the vegetative-productive balance and the maturations, starting from the correct setting of the dry and green pruning systems, passing through the correct defoliation practices and green harvesting.
Every decision is linked to the corporate strategy and to the real potential of the vineyard. When the vineyard is well looked after I will simply supervise the management and suggest operations to optimize production.
The wine-making protocols will adapt each production campaign to the characteristics of the vintage and to the harvest dates.

WHY CHOOSING THE RIGHT GENETIC MATERIAL DETERMINES QUALITY?
My qualification as Agricultural Technician specialized in viticultural nurseries is a great ally to choose the graft carriers and cultivars and / or mass selections appropriate to the oenological project that has to be carried out.
What will you obtain from my advice?
DESIGN and ASSISTANCE of the vineyard according to the pedoclimatic characteristics. The granulometric and chemical-microbiological analysis carried out on the “land” on which our plant will be built are decisive for choosing the right graft holder.
While for the variety to be planted and the relative clone and / or biotype from mass selection, everything depends on both the pedoclimatic indicators and the wine we want to produce.
There are also further assessments to be made, linked to the culture and customs of the territory, as well as the scientific information from literature.
Recently, we have tried hard not to use the same clones used by competing companies, in order not to produce the same variety of grapes, therefore the same final wine.
In this sense, lately the use of creating a massal, corporate and non-corporate selection has spread, and the genetic material, the future rooted shoots, must be propagated by a trusted nursery.
Even the grafting technique in the field on a wild plant can be considered an excellent practice and I recommend it in certain situations.
WHY “KNOWING” THE LAND DETERMINES YOUR SUCCESS?
As a Agricultural Expert specialized in viticulture and enology, I have a strongly agronomic approach.
Over the years I have worked in various Terroirs and I love this first part of a wine project. This is extremely important, especially for the hills regions, to ensure that the entire ecosystem is in perfect balance and the vine can express itself to the best of its potential.
What will you get from my advice?
I will carry out the DESIGN and ASSISTANCE of all earthmoving activities starting from the leveling and / or terracing, passing through the agricultural hydraulic depth adjustment works, continuing with the land work and / or ripping and finish with the superficial water regeneration works.
Appropriate chemical-microbiological and granulometric analysis will follow, in order to correct any deficiencies / excesses and determine the most suitable graft holder carrier.
